Safety Recall

The purpose of this page is to assist in the notification of Safety Recalls of Fiat Professional vehicles as determined by the distributor, the Motor Industry Association incorporated (MIA) and the Land Transport Safety Authority (LTSA).
Notification of recall requirements will be sent to known addresses, however communication via phone or email will assist a quick response and correction of the matter as described in the recall notice.

Fiat Grande Punto
As a result of continuous monitoring processes made by FGA on its products, to ensure the highest safety and quality levels, the need for controlling the correct tightening torque of the steering shaft upper joint fixing screw has arisen on Fiat Grande Punto.
If the tightening is not correct, the joint fork could break after a while, with following consequences on the steering direction control.
There are 175 vehicles involved with this recall within New Zealand, all owners will be notified by post.
