1938 / 1959

1938.gifIn 1938, the rectangular emblem with a special shield shape found its way onto the front of the 2800, an executive car of which 621 were made, including the military CMC version.

The rectangular trademark didn't undergo any significant modifications for thirty years until it was used to mark two new vehicles in 1959, the 1800 and the 2100. The logo was in fact redesigned, not least of all to reflect the greater prestige of these models, making it larger and giving it a more rounded border.

The Fiat 850, Fiat 124 and Fiat 127 were the last vehicles to feature the rectangular logo, with the exception of the sports models (Coupe and Spider) that were graced with the round emblem of the Twenties.

Finally, in 1968, the Turin Company embarked on the complex corporate strategy that would take it to set up the Fiat holding company. A new trademark was required to identify this development. The time of the four blue cubes had come.
